Funimation screened the first episode of Attack on Titan season 3 and a recap film titled The Roar of Awakening in North American theaters nation wide on July 10 for the original Japanese language with English subtitles and the English dub release on the 11th.

Both showings reported earning $337.334 USD for the 2 nights showing across the United States and Canada in as many as 160 theater locations. This followed a world premiere at Anime Expo on July 8. The full season 3 will premier in Japan on July 22, 2018 on the NHK network.

Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs on their simulcast online. Adult Swim’s Toonami will also begin airing the entire Attack on Titan anime series starting August 28, 2018.
