Another important reason why it is failing is its clash against an established global gaming market's implied mandatory requirement for games to be available in cross platforms to achieve a high level of success in sales. In this case, the huge demand Capcom felt from fans that wanted to play Resident Evil: Revelations but outright refused to purchase a Nintendo 3DS is a perfect example.

However, all hope is not lost for the Nintendo Wii-U console. As it seems that the minority of gamer types that happen to have a higher attention span than the usual frag-fest loving FPS kind are finding the extra display tablet controller to be a welcomed challenge. Especially when it comes to the survival horror genre, giving the player more access to being truly immersed in the game.

Resident Evil: Revelations on the Nintendo Wii-U will be available for release in North America and Europe on May 31, 2013. Along with an HD version compared to that of the 3DS version, the WiiU will be offering Resident Evil fans more gameplay incentives than the PS3 or Xbox releases. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, previously announced for the West as Ace Attorney 5, sees the return of courtroom hero Phoenix Wright.

Set eight years since his last appearance in the courts, the first case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies sees the action start in a destroyed court room.

It’s down to Phoenix Wright and his team at the Wright Anything Agency to discover the cause of the destruction.

Players will have to battle it out in court against Gaspen Payne, the younger brother of Winston Payne from previous Ace Attorney titles, as they defend the accused.

The much loved gameplay and features from previous titles in the Ace Attorney series return but for the first time with stunning 3D graphics, bringing the courtroom and characters to life and putting players directly in the heart of the action.

Players will need to investigate each crime scene with dynamic 3D visuals, making it possible to change views and zoom-in on areas to uncover any hidden evidence or clues.

The drama continues in the court room as players present their evidence, challenge witnesses and begin to unravel the truth behind each of the cases in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies.

Joining Phoenix is the young Attorney Apollo Justice and new Associate Attorney Athena Cykes. Athena’s unique ability to psychoanalyse witnesses introduces a brand new element to proceedings.

Using Athena’s ‘Mood Matrix’ players can detect the emotional state of a witness and tell whether they’re surprised, angry, happy or sad.

Players can compare these feelings with the statement given by the witness, point out any contradictions between the two and challenge the witness testimony.

And with this comes the ever increasing demand for variety, not just in hardware, but in operating system firmware.

Since the release of Blackberry's Z10, as the struggling company's (highly overdue) entry into the touchscreen smartphone industry, having a very mediocre impact on the market, mainstream diversity now focuses on the newest Windows Phone; NOKIA's Lumia series.

The NOKIA Lumia 925 specifically.

Although made of primarily metal (aluminum), it's polycarbonate rear and style of gloss shine still gives many users the same lightweight (139 grams) plastic feel as that of a Samsung Galaxy phone.

However, it's aluminum frame wrapping around its side emphasizes sturdiness with an elegant design made popular by Apple's iPhone 4, and all that implies with that statement. Do you see where this is heading?

Nokia's Senior Vice-President and Product Designer, Stephan Pannenbecker, proudly pointed it out during a London exhibit as if it were the phone's best selling point:

" In the side you will see just the Aluminum frame, and this aluminum frame contains the antenna construction as well. Which means we have a product built out of metal and has absolutely incredible antenna performance."

When have we seen this kind of product presentation before?

Oh but most smartphone users these days are quiet tech savvy and have a generally sharp learning curve. So we'll just assume shopping for a case to cover up that elegant design will naturally be mandatory, for the sake of gaining protection and incredible antenna performance.

Let's move on to the more technical advantages. Just shortly following the largely successful design of the Samsung Galaxy S3, the Nokia Lumia 925 will sport a 4.5" inch OLED screen with a native 1280 x 768 display resolution.

The rear facing camera packs a punch with its 8.7 megapixel featuring image stabilization and low-light capture for those obsessed with snapping pics on the go. It's micro-SIM card slot is located next to the micro-USB charging port on top of the phone, leaving the bottom part blank.

The Lumia 925 runs fast with the 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. But ultimately, just as Blackberry learned painfully, it's the Apps that make a smartphone a champion in the market. For those who have never used a Windows Phone before, do your research or play around with it at a store, because just like the uphill debate whether Windows 7 Desktop PC users should bother to upgrade to Windows 8, coming from a Droid or iPhone, a Windows Phone will take you out of your comfort zone. Although that could be a very good thing...

Anyone who still owns the Nokia Lumia 920 will notice that these specs of its younger brother aren't all that different, with the exception of its improved hardware design. Opting in for the cheaper 920 won't be such a bad idea.

It's not all that surprising tech bloggers online are not recommending you fork the money for the "upgrade", unless you've got your heart set on the expected incredible aluminum antenna performance.

The Nokia Lumia 925 supports 4G LTE and is scheduled to go on sale in North America early June 2013.

However, throughout history and from many different cultures, cats are heralded in mythical legends as guardians of the underworld and protect people from bad malevolent spirits or demons.

Well the dynamic filming duo gurus of Corridor Digital, a buddy team of Freddie Wong's, made a very cool short video depicting cats being able to protect you from yet other forms of unseen enemies. Such as those pesky sock thieves that sneak into your drawers while you're away and leave you with pairs that no longer match.

Now you kids have irrefutable evidence to show to your mom why you always can't seem to stop losing socks!

But when voicing opinions in reviews and drawing artworks aren't enough, fans take their love to a higher level of tribute by role playing in their favorite character's costumes... otherwise better known as Cosplay.

And in the world of Cosplay, there are super stars that stand out from the horde of amateur photos usually taken from a convention gathering.

The kind of cosplayers who aren't only dedicated in crafting their own costume materials, but know exactly what it is that would make them a dead ringer for that particular character.

Video games especially is a rich source of inspirational characters cosplayers constantly pay tribute to. Ken Levine, as Irrational Games' creative director for the new BIOSHOCK Infinite game, chose his own favorite cosplayer for the game's main character.

Announcing her debut in the company's official blog online, she would also appear in covers and the live action BIOSHOCK Infinite commercial.


In December 2012, a popular cosplayer from Moscow named Anna Moleva, or Ormeli as she goes by in DeviantArt.com, became the official cosplay cover girl for BIOSHOCK Infinite in her heart-stopping beautiful portrayal of Elizabeth.

One look at her cosplay pictures and you don't have to have played the game, or to even know the game well to see how exceptional she personifies the character in such detail. It's really no surprise why Irrational Games reached out all the way to Russia for her.

From her authentic looking costume of old Americana dresses that she'd amazingly sown herself, to her perfectly matched height and figure, all the way to the genuine emotions her eyes evoke... it's as if the character Elizabeth tore open a gate to our reality and said "Hi, this is what I look like in your world...".

And while CG rendering of female characters usually produce an impossible concept of beauty that can't be replicated in reality, Anna is one of the rare examples of a real flesh and blood woman looking so much more beautiful than the video game render.

When interviewed by Irrational Games, she stated that she had been actively cosplaying since in her teenage years. Now that she's been hired by a high profile game company, it looks like all her hard work and dedication to her favorite hobby of Cosplay is giving way to a great source of income.

After playing the game thoroughly for a few weeks in different modes, here's a break down of the PROS & CONS of why you should buy the new Tomb Raider game, especially at half off!

PROS:

• Lara Croft is hotter than ever! Yes, she is younger and fresh out of College, but in video games, it's not that easy to tell the difference with age when it comes to video game vixens. However, in the new Tomb Raider, Lara is made visibly younger even more because of how her character is portrayed and developed from beginning to end. She starts out as an eager adventurer who is equally conflicted between her self-doubts and a natural born instinct to know what she has to do. Resulting in a much closer relationship between the game player and the need you'll feel to care for the main character. 
• Game mechanics are very different from the previous Tomb Raider games, but still pays homage to some features Lara Croft can't be without such as climbing and traversing environments.
• From weapons to survival skills, the new Tomb Raider game is able to use an MMO style upgrade system of leveling. You collect points by searching for these hidden crates containing salvage materials, and/or hunt animals for food. Looting enemies you killed can also gain points, making the process far from tedious to level up! The Aiming system is somewhere between First Person and Third Person shooting, while the different melee moves you can upgrade to are all too satisfying!
• Because the game level of the new Tomb Raider is massive, it comes with its own special "FAST TRAVEL" function that allows you to move back and forth to different areas you've been to before on the island. This makes the game replay value that much higher so you can go back and truly hunt down all the hidden treasures and secret tomb passages you haven't explored yet. And because there are several areas Lara can't traverse into in each level/map before she upgrades her tools and skill set, it's actually recommended that you do not try to find everything all at once. Making the game flow that much more natural as you try to save friends and solve the mystery of the game's story.
• The new Tomb Raider's story is exceptionally well written. From character development to plot twists, the mystery and sense of adventure is felt real as you play Lara Croft throughout the game. Unlike the other Tomb Raider games I played that were kind of so-so in regards to the need to finish, at every level of the new 2013 game, I really wanted to fight it all the way to make sure Lara makes it out alright at the end... Thank you Crystal Dynamics & Square Enix! The new Tomb Raider game was well worth the wait for 2013, as you have succeeded in making the players feel like they're inside a great adventure movie, playing it.

CONS:

• Not everything's perfect. Despite how much I love this game, coming from someone who has played every single Tomb Raider game released, there are still some nit-picking to be pointed out. Most of which have especially to do with the Graphics. While you'd have to be clinically blind not to see from all the video trailers and screenshots that the new Tomb Raider game is breathtakingly gorgeous that deserves to be played on a high end PC rig with all the settings set on maximum, the game director may have gone overboard with certain cinematic "enhancements".
• The graphics of the game does a great job of making you feel immersed in the environments Lara Croft has to survive in because of how much detail is put into them. But some are just unnecessary like the occasional motion blurs when moving the camera too fast in close spaces which can somewhat disorienting, or bright screen flashes when going into almost every panel in the in-game menu. Thankfully, some of these can be adjusted if you go to the options in the Graphic Settings menu, and click Advance options.
• Environmental details affect the camera such as the water droplets that drip down on the screen to simulate that the player is really in the game, having a hard time seeing just as Lara is when moving around in torrential rain storms. It's not much of a bother, but it can frustrate at times. Another type of environmental details that hit the camera is the shaking! When Lara is traversing extremely windy canyons or other paths, the camera is needlessly shaking at times, which would be perfectly fine should you not die and have to go through that same sequence again. Thankfully, it's not always doing it. But if Crystal Dynamics is reading this, please DO NOT include that feature in your games anymore! These "techniques" at cinematography is as bad in the movies as they are in games when it comes to disorienting viewers.
• Graphics settings affect in-game cutscenes. The cut scenes in the new Tomb Raider game are the same quality as the actual game play. Which is good and not-so-good. Aside from the intro movie, and some scattered about throughout the game, most cut scenes are generated on the same level as the game play. So if you're setting the game to "ULTIMATE" graphics, as you should if your PC set up can handle it, then you're all good. Lara Croft's hair animation, because of Square Enix, can only be truly appreciated when settings are up on the highest level.

Ironically enough, there's a way to buy brand new AAA title games like BIOSHOCK Infinite on STEAM at half off without waiting for an official announcement from STEAM. I bought this game at $25 without using STEAM's discount weeks ago before the May weekend promo discount special.
