And this Souske and Chidori are coming back with a vengeance on the big screen with not one but three full length anime films set to release in theaters in Japan first and a rumored US theatrical release as well.
The first movie: Full Metal Panic! “Boy Meets Girl” is releasing in Japan on November 25, 2017 with the second movie “One Night Stand” on January 13, 2018 followed shortly after by the third film “Into the Blue” on January 20, 2018.
For those who missed out on this great series, Full Metal Panic! is a story about a covert counter-terror mercenary group called Mithril on a parallel Earth in which the Cold War did not end in 1991. With the story centering on one of its elite operative named Souske Sagara masquerading as a ‘normal’ High School student in Japan for the purpose of body guarding Kaname Chidori, a key person of interest to Mithril.
As if that wasn’t enough of an early Christmas present for long time fans of Full Metal Panic!, its animation studio XEBEC also announced a completely brand new series to premiere early Spring 2018 called Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory. How cool is that?!
Oh but wait, they’re not done yet!
Bandai Namco also announced that Full Metal Panic! is also getting a PlayStation 4 game titled Full Metal Panic! Tatakau Who Dares Wins (Full Metal Panic! Fight Who Dares Wins) to be released in around the same time in 2018.
Here’s its trailer:
