En Masse Entertainment, a publisher built by gamers, focused on delivering fun and innovative online games, announced today that its award-winning and highly anticipated action MMO title, TERA, will launch on May 1, 2012.
TERA takes the fight beyond whack-a-mole monotony with enhanced aiming, dodging, and tactical timing to create intense and rewarding combat.
Unlike other MMOs, you can use your controller or keyboard and mouse to control the action like never before.
With all the depth you expect from a traditional MMO, plus the intense gratification of action combat, TERA changes all the rules.
TERA expresses unique MMO features that include:
Experience an Action MMO beyond "point and click" where skill, position, timing, and aim determine success in combat.
Vast Fantasy World
Play seven character races and eight classes. Battle hundreds of monsters throughout 80+ zones and embark on thousands of quests in a game world rich in history and lore.
Advanced enemy AI and enormous bosses deliver a more intense and engaging combat experience.
Explore a world filled with breathtaking visuals powered by Unreal Engine 3.
In a faction-free world, all players can impact the community as well as the social, political, and economic structures of TERA.
Choice of Control
Play with mouse and keyboard or your favorite PC-compatible console controller.
The upcoming release of TERA will be available in Standard and Collector’s Editions at retail and online stores. It will mark a new era in gaming. TERA sets a new standard by delivering true action combat to players who want more than the stale and repetitive gameplay that exists in today’s MMOs.
The recipient of multiple industry honors and accolades, including “Best PC Game” and “Best MMO” at last year’s E3 expo, TERA is a new breed of online game that combines all the depth of a traditional MMO with the visceral gratification of an action game.
In TERA, players must actively aim, dodge and block, as the game’s real-time combat system takes into account player position and skill, not stats alone.
Players begin by creating a character from seven races and eight classes as they join in an alliance to save the world from bloodthirsty armies of monsters who threaten to destroy the very gods who hold their world together.
TERA also introduces a revolutionary political system in which players wield power in their province based on their in-game political prowess or player versus player combat skill.
On another important note, En Masse Entertainment has stated their policy has now changed as IP Addresses from Asia, Africa, Russia and the Middle East will be blocked, effectively preventing players from those regions from accessing the servers.
On the other hand European, South American and Australian players will still be able to play on the US servers.
